EU Allmänförklaring av energiprojekt

Större infrastrukturprojekt för el, olja, gas och CCS (koldioxidinfångning) i Europa skall kunna förklaras vara av allmänt intresse och få en snabbare tillståndsprocess. Man har identifierat 12 stycken “priority corridors” varav några har direkt intresse för svenskt vidkommande, t.ex. :

1. Northern Seas offshore grid (?NSOG?): integrated offshore electricity grid in the North Sea, the Irish Sea, the English Channel and the Baltic Sea
7. Baltic Energy Market Interconnection Plan in electricity (“BEMIP Electricity”): interconnections between Member States in the Baltic region and reinforcing internal grid infrastructures
8. Baltic Energy Market Interconnection Plan in gas (“BEMIP Gas”): infrastructure to end the isolation of the three Baltic States and Finland and their single supplier dependency and to increase diversification

Men utöver de som har direkt geografisk anknytning nämner man:

10 Smart grids deployment: adoption of smart grid technologies across the Union to efficiently integrate the behaviour and actions of all users connected to the electricity network, in particular the generation of large amounts of electricity from renewable or distributed energy sources and demand response by consumers.
11. Electricity highways: first electricity highways by 2020, in view of building an electricity highways system across the Union.

Utöver att tillståndsprocedurer skall kunna snabbas upp så skall det finnas möjligheter till finansiering. Bedömare med insyn hävdar dock att det ger mest fördelar för gasledningar och mindre för el som skulle kunna vara av större betydelse för att utnyttja förnybar energi.
